Watchful lets you add funds to your account in advance. This is useful if you prefer to make a larger lump-sum payment rather than receive a small invoice each billing cycle.
Funds you add are stored as an account balance and are automatically used toward your Watchful usage charges.
How to add funds
- Log in to your Watchful account.
- Click your name in the top-right corner of the Watchful interface and select
Account & Subscription. - Go to the
Plantab. - Scroll down to the Pre-pay Option section and click
Add funds. - Check your current Account balance. This shows how much prepaid credit is already available on your account.
- In the
Amountfield, enter the amount you would like to add. - Click
Add funds. - Follow the payment instructions to complete the transaction.
Once the payment is completed, the funds are added to your account balance and are available to cover future Watchful charges.
Why add funds in advance?
Prepaying can be particularly convenient for organizations that want to reduce the number of small payments or invoices they need to process.
For example, instead of paying a relatively small Watchful charge every month, you can add a larger amount to your account and allow your ongoing usage charges to be deducted from that balance.
This can also be useful if you have a fixed purchasing budget, need to make a payment before the end of an accounting period, or simply prefer to fund your Watchful account periodically rather than paying each billing cycle.
Checking your balance and usage
Your current prepaid balance is displayed beside Account balance in the Pre-pay Option section.
The Plan tab also displays your Current usage fee, along with the start and end dates of your current billing cycle. This makes it easy to compare your available balance with your current Watchful usage.
Adding funds does not change your Watchful plan or billing cycle. It simply places credit on your account that can be used toward future charges.
