Add site tags in Watchful

Tags are a simple way to organize the sites in your Watchful account.

You can use them to group sites by client, location, service plan, website type, maintenance requirements, or any other system that works for your team. A site can have one tag, several tags, or no tags at all.

Tags can also be used to filter sites in areas such as the Sites Dashboard, Updater, and Installer, making it easier to work with a specific group of sites.

Add tags to a single site

  1. From the Sites Dashboard, click the name of the site you want to edit. This opens the site drawer.
  2. In the site drawer, click Edit to open the Edit Site modal.
  3. Locate the Tags field.
  4. Select one or more existing tags.
  5. To create a new tag, enter it in the Tags field and add it.
  6. Remove any tags you no longer want assigned to the site.
  7. Click Save.

Add tags to multiple sites

  1. From the Sites Dashboard, select the sites you want to update.
  2. Click Add Tags at the top of the dashboard.
  3. Select the tags you want to assign.
  4. Apply the changes.

Manage tags

Watchful also includes a dedicated Tag Manager.

From the Tag Manager, you can create, edit, and delete tags and see how many sites are associated with each one.

Tags provide a flexible way to organize larger Watchful accounts and quickly work with groups of related sites.
