How to validate account emails

Watchful requires email addresses to be validated before they can be used for certain outgoing email features.

Email validation applies to both:

  • Receiving email notifications from Watchful
  • Sending personalized reports from a custom email address

This helps ensure that Watchful is sending messages only to and from addresses that you control.

If one or more email addresses have not been validated, Watchful displays a warning at the top of the dashboard.

Validate an email address

To validate an email address:

  1. Click the validation warning shown at the top of the Dashboard, or open Settings → Notifications.
  2. At the top of the Notifications page, review the email validation instructions.
  3. Follow the prompts to validate each email address that requires confirmation.
  4. Check the inbox for the email address being validated and complete the verification process.

Once the address has been validated, Watchful can use it for email notifications and, where applicable, for sending personalized reports.

If you use more than one email address with Watchful, make sure each address that will receive notifications or be used to send reports has been validated.
