ke many communities, Joomla users pine for the return of live events. And we grew tired of Zoom conferences many months back. A new and innovative event called Joomla Day USA will be held on April 23-24, 2021 that hopes to address both issues. It is a refreshing and exciting approach to hosting a Joomla conference.

Watchful will be on the JDay USA schedule to speak about website maintenance. And as a sponsor we’ll be hanging out in our virtual booth in the expo the entire time to chat, network and meet new friends.

A virtual Joomla conference built around networking

Networking is a central theme at this Joomla conference. One of the organizers expressed this very clearly on email:

We are excited to have a community social event on Friday and networking events during the conference. We all miss being together, we hope this can be the next best thing.

To facilitate this, Joomla Day USA will use the Hopin platform. The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a lot of innovation in the virtual conference space and Hopin has done a great job emulating the social and networking aspects of a conference in a digital environment.

An early look at the speakers promises some great talks and the Friday evening social and virtual expo ensure lots of networking. We did a walk through of Hopin with the JDay USA team and we’re confident that it’s going to be a great experience for all.
