A special thank-you to our loyal customers!
Monday, 16 September 2013 / Blog
By now, most of you have seen us celebrating the first birthday of Watchful with big discounts for new customers.
From past experience with telephone and cable television providers, we know all too well that these introductory offers can sometimes be frustrating to loyal customers who miss out on the savings.
To ease those feelings, we have done our best to provide something really awesome for as many of our existing customers as possible — we’ve put together a gift basket!
We reached out to our colleagues in the Joomla community who are part of the Watchful family in some way and asked them to contribute to the gift basket.
As you can see below, they were very generous! The basket includes free and commercial Joomla software from vendors who have worked to make their remote updaters compatible with Watchful including NoNumber, Akeeba, RocketTheme and ACL Manager. We’ve also included tickets to Joomla Day Spain.

How to enter the gift drawing
Since the number of gifts are limited, we’ll randomly distribute them to existing customers who complete a 2-minute survey.
So if you have an active subscription with Watchful that began on Sept. 5, 2013 or earlier (i.e. before our current birthday promotion began), check your inbox for a link to the survey. Otherwise, drop us a note and we'll get the survey to you.
Simply complete the survey and you’ll automatically be entered into the drawing to receive a gift from our basket. Submissions end on September 30 and we'll make the random drawing and notify the gift recipients shortly thereafter.
About our Gifts
ACL Manager is critical for anyone looking to control and manage the powerful, yet very complicated permissions system in Joomla. With it's innovative interface and helpful tools, ACL Manager is a must for any Joomla website with more then one user.
As a perennial pick on every “top extension” list, and repeated J!OSCAR winner, Akeeba Backup is the flagship product in a suite of extensions that continue to impress.
Akeeba Backup — in particular the PRO version — is a must have for every site and supports a plethora of on-site and off-site backup configurations and even allows for site-to-site migrations and cloning.
Check out Akeeba Backup, Admin Tools and all the hot extensions from one of the most influential developers in the Joomla ecosystem at AkeebaBackup.com.
Let’s just say it clearly: NoNumber is so clever, he’s almost single-handedly made regular expressions “cool”, and has made a living from them at the same time!
The NoNumber suite of Joomla widgets such as Advanced Module Manager and ReReplacer are commonplace on a great many websites and have the ability to turn a boring, database-driven website into a dynamic and exciting experience. Regular expressions FTW!
The oldest, largest and perhaps best-known template club for Joomla is Rockettheme. We are big fans of their work, and love that they have a flexible, feature-rich template framework called Gantry that is free for the community to use, along with lots of free goodies like responsive templates and a number of Joomla widgets. And by the way, their support is kinda fantastic!
Joomla Day Spain
Spain in Autumn ... we would pay to go! ... Oh ya, that’s what we did when we sponsored the event :)
We’ll be on-site for both days of event. Just look for the big, gorgeous booth and drop by to say hello to Carlos and Francesco :)
